Dear GeoVet 2019 students,
GeoVet 2019 will offer 3 student presentation awards and 3 poster presentation awards.
Eligible students* are encouraged to compete for these awards.
Description
GeoVet 2019 student presentation award: This award is given to the three best student presentations during GeoVet 2019. The awarded students need to be the main speaker during the student presentation session at GeoVet 2019. The winners receive $400 each.Geovet 2019 student poster award: This award is given to the three best student posters during GeoVet 2019. The awarded students need to attend the conference and defend their posters during the poster sessions at GeoVet 2019. The winners receive $250 each. This award will be generously sponsored by Avia-GIS this year.
* Student definition: 1) enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate student program at least half- time or 2) be participating full-time in an internship or residency program which is approved for credit towards board certification or graduate degree.
Application
Students who would like to be considered for the GeoVet 2019 presentation or poster awards must apply at the time of the abstract submission by submitting their presentation or poster awards using the “Student senior presentation”, “Student oral presentation” or “Student poster presentation” abstract types.All the awards will be announced during the Gala Dinner at the GeoVet 2019 conference.
